Celebrating the Women of Lago: Women’s History Month 2022

In honor of Women’s History Month this year, we wanted to recognize the many talented women on our team. As a female-led business, we are incredibly proud of what our company has become over the past decade!

What started as an Italian restaurant concept in 2006, founded by Fabio Salerno and Nicole Salerno, evolved into a downtown Cleveland dining hot spot and full-service events company. Our team has grown immensely over the years. And, two outstanding leaders that helped pave the way from the beginning are women who fiercely put in the work - Owner, Nicole Salerno and Property Manager, Aubrey Czarzasty.

Led by these incredible role models, our team now consists of many more women who put in tremendous effort every day - in every corner, desk, meeting and dining room in our entire company. All while balancing the demands of life, school, motherhood and more. We felt that called for a celebration! A day to pamper ourselves and recognize the victories we’ve helped each other achieve along the way, both big and small.

So, we gathered the ladies from our Lago East Bank and Lago Custom Events teams and headed to Revelations Salon & Spa in Lakewood. We spent the morning sipping mimosas and fresh juice from Juice Lab Cleveland while we got our hair, nails and makeup done. The Revelations team took such good care of our group! It was an awesome way to enjoy the day with one another (away from work).

To finish the day, we enjoyed a professional photoshoot together. As busy as we are, this was one of the few occasions that all of us were in the same room at the same time! It was a special moment.

We are so thankful for the women on our team who propel our company forward and push us to be the best versions of ourselves — professionally and personally. Here’s to all of the hardworking women out there who are making businesses, lives and each other better.
